Wednesday

Today was a long day and quite a busy and tiring one.  We spent the day with the organization of Rebuilding the Wall.  RTW is an organization that strives to better families, communities, and battle social justice issues.  They do this by working on rebuilding homes for low income families, training builders that had no other skills previously to help them find employment, and just trying every day to better their surrounding Indianapolis neighborhoods.  Our tasks for the day consisted of shoveling mulch into community gardens, to surrounding homes, clearing out a backyard to help create an urban garden, helping clean a home, and assisting with siding.

The group even got to spend time talking to Chris (pictured on the far left) about the organization and how they can bring some of the concepts from RTW back to Eau Claire.  After a long day (and quite a few sunburns) we had dinner at Golden Corral and spent the evening by a bonfire to unwind.  Tomorrow is our last full day and we will be spending it at Wheeler Mission Ministries and exploring downtown Indy.
